The XP-E2 uses Cree's SC3 (silicon-carbide) technology to boost output over the original XP-E diode. This performance boost makes the XP-E2's color output 88% brighter than alternative high-power color LEDs. Now lighting manufacturers are able to design for a wider range of applications more cost effectively. These XP-E2 color LEDs can be seen in architectural, vehicle and display lighting.
